circuit training free weights

circuit training compared to their regular routine?
Hi, this is a question for all my coaches wonderful staff there, or someone with a load cylinder head experience: they have to go to the gym since May and had a regular routine of weight lifting with cardio for fat loss in general. I was using 12 different machines, which incorporates all major muscle groups, plus a cardio workout in 30 minutes of tape or step by step on the ladder. I did not go to the gym for 3 weeks and when I returned, my personal trainer had a new routine for me, a circuit routine with only 5 machines, 20 reps each time, 6 rounds, and I have to act quickly. After 3 of the exercises, including free weights, 4 sets of 20 repetitions, after that 30 minutes on the stair stepper. What is the point of the circuit? Is it better for toning? What do you want to achieve in the regular routine with more machines? Thank you!
Circuit training may be good .. especially the way it has to do .. cause that is constantly moving and get some cardio while you are doing your weight lifting. I could see the reason for the change .. you still did not exercise for 3 weeks and it's a good routine to get back in the gym .. Also you do not want to do the same exercise regiment for a long time because then your progress can and probably will stabilize. Good luck to you.
