Have you gained weight on effexor and have since he has lost?

I will scream if anyone suggests diet and exercise or that doesn't effect weight Effexor. Do a search for Effexor and weight gain over the web or on the responses, there are tons of people saying they gained. Too, I was 130 (5.6ft) when I started and I am now 170 pounds. I was on it for almost 2 years, during which I trained for and make 3 half-marathons, 1 Marathon, several bike races, triathlons 4 (1 of which was a ½ Ironman, and 2 were Olympic distance), I eat healthy and in normal proportions. I am fan off and it was totally free of it 2 1 / 2 months ago. I saw no loss of weight and started Ann intense program of weight training and I am running 5-7 mi. 3-5 x per week. I took milk thistle to help me it out of my system. Tested for other problems. A. If somebody was put on effexor for a long period of time and lived much weight gain on her, B. it is out now for a while, and C. has lost weight and metablsm went back 2 normal, tell me please.

geez my doc gave me effexor xr today and said I could lose weight with it, I am a woman and 240 lbs with hypo thyroid. I hear how you stay in good shape. I'm 33 and want this weight so bad, but diet and exercise have not helped as I have yo-yo. How was your experience with this particular drug anyway?
