How can I improve my strategy for weight loss?
I'm 25 years old, 5'4 "and 120 pounds. I do now 30 mins walk / run intervals 4 times a week and 30 minutes of bike or elliptical trainer on Friday. I do 2 days of strength training (4 lower Body / 3 machines upper body) per week. I eat between 1200-1700 calories most days (just over the weekend) – healthy foods and 90% of the time. I want to return my comfortable weight that requires me to lose those last 5 stubborn pounds. I heard that to maintain weight is 30 minutes of cardio per day. For loss is 45-60 minutes? I would also like to start using free weights instead of machines. Any good tips and advice? Any plans good workout?
The research right now says that for the weight loss you must be at least 60 minutes of exercise most days a week. If you do 30 minutes most time is only for health. 45-50 minutes is to maintain current weight. Until the weight of your cardio and add more free. I noticed when I worked with weights I toned up a lot faster. I also noticed that even if I lost inches, not weight down not too b / c I was gaining muscle. So do not focus too much on the size and pay more attention to your clothes feel looser. Believe me, love scale down is a recipe for discouragement.
